Creating Slideshows

Using Flickr:

You first need to either create a flickr.com account or sign-in to a pre-existing account. If you already have a yahoo.com account creating a flickr account is as easy as creating an account name, if you don't click here to create one. It won't take longer than a couple of minutes from start to finish.

For FIRST-TIME USERS, once you're logged in, click on No. 2 Upload your first photos, then Step 1 Choose photos and videos. Navigate to the photos you want to upload into your slideshow, highlight them and click Open, then click the Upload Photos and Videos button. can

Once your photos are uploaded, the Describe this upload page will open. You can now name your photos, caption your photos and add tags. (Occasionallly some photos won't upload and you'll get this message Bonk! XX files didn't make it. Try again, or just keep going? Once you've finished trying, hit the just keep going? link and the Describe this upload page will open).

Now you must click on the Create a new Set link. Once you name it and describe it, click on the Create Set button. Now scroll all the way down and hit the Save button. Your Photostream page will open and you will see your new set in the very lightly shaded box on the right. Click on the thumbnail for the set you just created. Highlight and copy the full url for the set starting with "http://www.flickr.com/photos"

Once you've done this, read the instructions below titled "Adding the Slideshow to Your Team Page"

For RETURN USERS, after you've signed into to flickr.com click on the Upload Photos and Video button.

Navigate to the photos you want to upload into your slideshow, highlight them and click Open, then click the Upload Photos and Videos button.

Once your photos are uploaded, the Describe this upload page will open. You can now name your photos, caption your photos and add tags. Now you can either click the Add to a Set or Create a new Set link. After you've finished naming your new set or adding these photos to a pre-existing set, scroll all the way down and hit the Save button.

Your Photostream page will open and you will see your new set in the very lightly shaded box on the right. Click on the thumbnail for the set you'd like to make the slideshow. Highlight and copy the full url for the set starting with "http://www.flickr.com/photos"

Adding the Slideshow to Your Team Page:

After you've done all your flickr work, paste your flickr url somewhere (such as a word document or an e-mail; you'll need to use it in just a second) come back to this page and copy the code below, but replace the xxxxxxxxxxx with the full url you just copied (include the http://)

Now you're ready to add your slideshow to your page.

Log in to reachforthewall.com, navigate to your team page, click on the Edit page link, and paste in the full code which now includes your photo set's url wherever you want your slideshow to be displayed.
