Oh F! Divisionals.

With the last A meet of the 2009 MCSL season a thing of the past, teams from Division F are shifting their attention towards the final showdown, vying for the number one spot.  Although Robin Hood appears to be frontrunner, no team should be counted out.  Merrimack Park should make a bold appearance and could prove to be Robin Hood's toughest opponent.  Their dual meet losses versus Old Georgetown and Country Glen misrepresent their standing.  The absence of a few of Merrimack's key swimmers, compounded by a DQ in the Girls 14&U Graduated Freestyle Relay, allowed Old Georgetown to sneak the win by just three points.  The outcome Merrimack's meet this past weekend against Country Glen was different than anticipated as four of Merrimack's top swimmers (William Lawler, Carmen Ferraro, Scott Thiede, and Caitlin Merley) were busy competing at the PVS Senior Champs meet in College Park, creating a large enough point swing to secure Country Glen's victory.

Moral of the story: it's not over.  A team like Merrimack could claim victory over Division F -- who knows.  It's sure to be a close meet.  The Boys 15-18 races are the ones to see -- the age group is jam packed with talented athletes such as: Chris Verboncouer (Tally Ho), Eric Ruggieri (Glenwood), Scott Thiede (Merrimack), William Lawler (Merrimack), Patrick Mukri (Robin Hood), and Drew Fisher (Country Glen), all neck and neck; every race will be unbelievably close.  Other age groups will have exciting races as well, all contributing to closest, most competitive meet of the season for Division F.
