Meet the Gators
The Potomac Glen Gators swim team provides fun for the entire family during the summer. Currently in our 14th year as a team, we were in the Germantown-Gaithersburg Swim League for four years. From an upstart team with barely any teenagers and not enough swimmers to fill the lanes, our growth and success in four years inspired us to join the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL). The Gators started in MCSL in 2001 in "O" Division and have risen steadily through the league to "B" Division this year. We have over 130 members on our team and pre-team this year.
The Gators believe in and teach sportsmanship and teamwork as well as the technical stroke skills to compete in all events. We also build team spirit through our non-competitive team activities, whether its eating ice cream or pancakes, going to the movies and bowling, or our annual swim-a-thon for KEEN. The Gators welcome all to come out and enthusiastically join the Gators at our swim meets. We will entertain and feed you!
