Rocks In Week 2 Competition

The Rockshire Sharks broke into the win column in 2010 Division H with a resounding 439 - 331 win over Inverness Forest on Saturday, June 26, 2010.  The Sharks swimmers had 50 personal best times, broke 4 Team Records and set 3 Pool Records on way to a great Big Win!

The Sharks had a strong contribution from top to bottom in the line-up.  Winning individual swimmers included: Andy Ram, Amelia Lieske, Jocelyn Merkin, Daniel Yook, Walter Boger, Sarah Fagan, Gwen Klein, Annie Fagan, Andres Orlando Restrepo, Brian Jordan and Sean Rhinehart.  The team also got a big boost from new 8 & under addition Ethan Chelf who finished off a strong come from behind performance in the 14 & under 175 Graduated Relay leading to a Rockshire sweep.   

Rockshire swimmers had 13 All-Star Qualifying Times including: Jocelyn Merkin 9-10 Girls 50 Free, 50 Back and 50 Fly; Daniel Yook 11-12 Boys 50 Free, 50 Back and 50 Fly and 12 & under 100 IM; Annie Fagan 13-14 Girls 50 Free, 50 Fly and 100 IM; Andres Orlando Restrepo 13-14 Boys 50 Fly; and Sean Rhinehart 15-18 Boys 50 Fly and 100 IM.

Daniel Yook - 12 & under Boys 100 IM        1:12.22 Team & Pool Record

- 11 -12 Boys 50 Free               :29.01 Team & Pool Record

- 11 - 12 Boys 50 Back              :32.44 Team & Pool Record

Earlier in the week, Rockshire had 91 Best Times in our B Meet at Potomac.  The Sharks performed admirably against a team that is comfortably entrenched in MCSL's C Division.  This week the B Meet is a rivalry meet against our neighbor Fallsmead on Wednesday, June 30th. 
 

Rockshire's A Team hits the road for the first time this year for a tough H Division Battle against Chevy Chase Recreation Association on Saturday, July 3rd.
