Thunder Complete First Undefeated Dual Meet Season Since 1993
On Saturday, the Waters Landing Thunder swim team completed its first undefeated MCSL dual meet season since before most of its current swimmers were even born — 1993! In a 459-333 home win over Quail Valley, the team was led by Kai Vilbig, Toma Vasilkov, Birgitt O'Connor, Kate VonHeeringen and Matthew Petraites.

Saturday also marked a special day as the team celebrated four graduating seniors who have each contributed mightily to the Thunder through the years. Seniors Julia VonHeeringen, Michael Ridenour, Erica Weiner and Audrey Cunningham were each honored with the traditional Thunder baskets and our new "Thunder Grad" t-shirts. When seniors graduate, it's also a time to congratulate the parents. This year, our four seniors represent more than 50 years of Thunder swimming, which means countless miles of driving for their parents, to say nothing of the hundreds of early mornings.
